On 6th December, 2018, two events to mark the Mahaparinirvana Day (death anniversary) of Babasaheb Dr Ambedkar, one at the Ambedkar House and Memorial, 10 King Henrys Road, North West London and another at the Ambedkar Hall, India House, Indian High commission were organized.
After garlanding the busts and full size statue of Babasaheb, a number of dignitaries paid homage to Babasaheb. Mr Raj Kumar Badole, Minister of Social Justice, Government of Maharashtra especially came to attend this event. It must be reminded that Mr Badole has played a prominent role in the purchase and development of the Ambedkar Memorial in London.
Second event took place at the Indian High Commission attended by the many academics and the followers of Babasaheb Dr Ambedkar. Mr Rajkumar Badole, Minister, Social Justice, GoM, Mrs. Ruchi Ghanashyam, the High Commissioner of India, Mr Charanjeet Singh, Deputy High Commissioner, Mr A.S. Rajan, Minister Coordination, Ms Santosh Dass, President of the Federation of Ambedkarite and Buddhist Organisations, UK and many others spoke on the contribution of Babasaheb in regard to the equality, liberty and equal justice. As a the Father of the Indian Constitution, his services in making modern India was also applauded.
